We have a SPECIAL this month! A Balzers BAK 550, one of the earlier models of the Balzers BAK 550 / BAK 600 series. This unit with the Balzers vacuum flange standard must go before the end of the month. The chamber is equipped with thermal evaporators (boat) and glow discharge electrode, a flat substrate carrier, high vacuum (diffusion) pump, all vacuum valves and vacuum measurement equipment. The evacuation sequence is controlled by a Balzers BSP 102, the evaporation process by manual components. An automatic coating programmer is delivered with the system, take a look at the pictures to see if you can work with this controller...... There is no guarantee that all connection cables are present or that the mechanical and electronic components are working correctly (and for this price we are not going to check it!). You get what you see on the pictures. The system did it΄s job nicely till production requirements made this tool obsolete. Since then the BAK 550 is stored in the owners facility. This unit is perfect as an expirimental vacuum chamber or for simple thin film coatings.   
 
The system is sold as-is, exw. Sweden. Just add a roughing pump to complete this system (I advise a 2 stage rotary vane pump with >60 m3/h capacity) .    
 
The asking price for this piece of coating history:  € 5000 (EXW.).

Another nice item is the available Balzers BAK 760 with BPU 431 controller, UNO 100 roughing pump with WKP 500, dome heater and Egun. The Egun is an ESQ 110 with EHV 110 high voltage power supply, already retrofitted to the latest standard! We can supply this system with standard substrate cariers or with "flip-over" substrate turning system. The system is on display in Balzers, Liechtenstein.
 
 
Need something more sophisticated, larger or newer: check out the Intec Mars series evaporation system, nice systems for fast batches. Suitable for standard and (high)precision optics, with or without processes in the VIS, UV or IR range.   
 
Another highlight is the availability of Intec components for your coating systems: the 10 kW electron beam gun set (= source with crucible drive, shutter, feedthroughs, high voltage- and filament supply and Egun controller (remote and local controls) starts at 27.500 Euro.
